*Call for Nominations — 2027 Chapter Leadership Academy | Region XII*

To all Chapter Presidents, President-Elects and Regional Officers:

We are looking for nominations for the 2027 ASHRAE Chapter Leadership Academy, taking place March 12–13 at ASHRAE HQ in Atlanta. Region XII has up to 4 spots available.

CLA is a 1.5-day immersive program that helps chapter leaders build the practical knowledge and leadership skills needed to succeed, and grow within ASHRAE.

What Region, Chapter, Organization or Individual covers : Hotel (~$135/night for 2 nights) and Misc. Travel Expenses.

(You are encouraged to apply. Need will be determined on an individual applicant basis)

Nominations should be submitted by Chapter Presidents or Chapter President-Elects. Regional Officers may also nominate candidates from throughout the Region.

The AHR Expo México 2026 was a great success that included members of the ASHRAE Board of Directors, 2026–27 ASHRAE President Sarah E. Maston, P.E., and leaders from Ashrae Region XII. With our DRC Jason Alphonso, P.E., we joined colleagues from neighboring ASHRAE Region VIII for three productive days in Guadalajara (September 29–October 1). The show brought together more than 440 exhibiting companies and thousands of HVACR professionals, who attended a strong technical program coordinated by ASHRAE GUADALAJARA. Thank you to the organizers, the Guadalajara Chapter, AHRI, and everyone who made the event a success. We look forward to another great program in Chicago at the 2027 ASHRAE Winter Conference and AHR Expo January 23–27, 2027.

with workshops at the Ashrae Region XII Chapters Regional Conference (CRC), hosted by the Ashrae Jacksonville Chapter. One of the most important things we do during the annual CRC is train our chapter officers who lead core committees across our 16 chapters. These sessions give incoming and current leaders the tools, connections, and best practices they need to strengthen their chapters and serve members throughout our vast Region: Florida, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. Thank you to our presenters, Region officers, host committee, and every volunteer who showed up ready to learn and lead. The work we do after CRC is what makes Region XII stronger.

Our Ashrae Region XII DRC Jason Alphonso said, "We are very proud that three chapters from three different countries got together and hosted this event. According to Andrea Tejera, ASHRAE Paraguay,"We have 226 registered from Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil and four guests from: Peru, Chile and Uruguay!!

Thank you to our ASHRAE Region XII CRC in Jacksonville, FL Chair Matthew Furlong, the Ashrae Jacksonville Chapter, and the CRC 2026 Host Committee. Meeting as a team in November 2025, the Host Committee worked to create an engaging, educational, technical event for our 16 Chapters and the Greater Jacksonville Community. As volunteers, the Host Committee secured sponsorships, coordinated two event venues, selected Distinguished Lecturers, organized a Community Roundtable and Expo, built and updated an event website, conference schedule, and the ASHRAE 365 App. Thank you to our R-12 Regional Officers, ASHRAE Society attendees, sponsors, and the employers who donated the time and effort of our volunteers (your employees).

While the networking, presentations, and social events were fantastic, the core of the ASHRAE Region XII CRC in Jacksonville, FL was the business meetings. DRC Jason Alphonso, our Ashrae Region XII Officers (RO's), Chapter Delegates, ASHRAE Society Board members and staff, and guests dedicated two days to Board meetings filled with Chapter President reports, RO annual reports, thoughtful deliberation, important voting, and the caucus. This is how our ASHRAE Region moves forward. This is the work of the CRC.

Our Ashrae Region XII (R-12) Chapters REPRESENTED at the 2026 ASHRAE Region XII CRC in Jacksonville, FL hosted by ASHRAE Ashrae Jacksonville, August 5 - 8. Members of our 16 R-12 Chapters — spanning Florida, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America — joined their fellow Chapter members, their R-12 colleagues, our sponsors, and technical presenters at CRCJax.
