I have to give a HUGE shoutout for the incredible care, kindness, and professionalism shown to my babies, Bo and Delta! 🐾❤️ Thank you Sol Y Luna Pet Grooming & Boarding🧸

When I tell you these two came home looking GOOD, smelling AMAZING, and feeling so soft! 😍 You can tell when someone takes genuine pride in their work, but even more importantly, you can tell when someone truly loves and has patience with the animals entrusted to their care.

That means everything to me.

The kindness, patience, attention to detail, and genuine professionalism are exactly why I continue to invest in this business. Quality service is worth paying for, especially when it comes with the peace of mind of knowing that Bo and Delta are being treated with love and care.

And judging by these faces, I think they know they look good too! 😂🐶🐶

Worth every single dollar. I am so glad to support and invest in a business that provides this level of service. ❤️👏🏾🐾

Community. Leadership. Service. ❤️

Always a great day when I get to spend time with leaders who are committed to serving our community!

I enjoyed attending Gwinnett Rotary and hearing my friend Josh Reid with the American Red Cross serve as today’s keynote speaker. Josh shared the important work being done through the Red Cross and the impact of service in our communities.

And one of my favorite surprises was running into my Leadership Gwinnett Class of 2019 classmate, Wanda Weegar! There’s something special about reconnecting with people you’ve shared a leadership journey with and seeing the many ways we continue to serve Gwinnett years later.

Grateful for the relationships, the reconnections, and the reminder that community leadership is built over time. ❤️

📣 ATLANTA NONPROFIT & COMMUNITY LEADERS, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!

The United Way of Greater Atlanta Volunteer Involvement Program (VIP) is now accepting applications for its Fall 2026 Cohort, and I’m excited to share this opportunity with my Nonprofit Guru community.

As a proud VIP alum, I can personally speak to the value of this program. VIP helps emerging nonprofit and community leaders strengthen their leadership skills, better understand nonprofit board service, expand their networks, and prepare to make an even greater impact in the communities they serve.

If you are an emerging leader, nonprofit professional, community volunteer, or someone who has been thinking, “I want to serve on a nonprofit board, but I want to understand how to do it well,” this is an opportunity worth exploring.

📅 Application Deadline: Friday, August 14, 2026
🎓 Fall Cohort Begins: September 2026
📍 Format: In person, with Monday or Wednesday cohort options
⏰ Sessions: 4:00–7:00 PM
💵 Upon acceptance: $100 Board Commitment Fee + $900 fundraising requirement

One of the things I believe deeply at The Nonprofit Guru is that strong nonprofits require strong, informed leaders around the board table. Programs like VIP help build that leadership pipeline.

And to my fellow nonprofit leaders, if you know someone with the heart to serve and the potential to lead, send this opportunity their way. Sometimes one introduction can open the door to an entirely new chapter of leadership and service. 💙

Applications close THIS FRIDAY, August 14!

I was honored to be one of approximately 80 Georgians invited to participate in an intimate conversation with U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff’s Office focused on Georgia’s small businesses, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.

As a business owner, educator, nonprofit professional, and advocate for children and families, I am grateful for opportunities that allow Georgians who are closest to the issues to share our experiences, insights, and hopes for the future of our state.

I appreciated Senator Ossoff and his team creating space to listen directly to the people building businesses, creating jobs, strengthening neighborhoods, and serving families throughout Georgia.

There are several ways to stay connected and become involved:

✨ Join the Storytellers Program to help elevate the personal, professional, and community leadership stories of Georgians.

✨ Subscribe to The Ossoff Brief newsletter for campaign updates, events, and messages from the team.

✨ Join the Ossoff Outreach Network through the Reach Progressive Organizing App and attend an upcoming volunteer training.

✨ Volunteer, share campaign information, or make a contribution to support the campaign.

Re-electing Senator Ossoff will require a broad and engaged coalition of Georgians, and there is a place for each of us to participate in a way that aligns with our time, talents, and resources.

I am grateful to have been included in this meaningful conversation and look forward to continuing to advocate for Georgia’s small businesses, nonprofit organizations, children, and families.
