This week on the Today show, Karl Stefanovic shared a vulnerable moment while supporting his co-host Sarah Abo as she spoke about expecting a child after the devastation of pregnancy loss.

Karl opened up about the struggles he and his partner, Jasmine Yarbrough, experienced through their own pregnancy loss. He spoke candidly about the questions many men quietly carry while trying to support their partners and process their own grief.

“As a man, what could I have done?” Karl said live on the Today show.

We want to acknowledge the powerful work of Beards of Hope. It is a cause we have had the privilege of supporting as a client, and a campaign that resonates deeply with Studio Oi’s founder and her family.

Beards of Hope supports men through the unthinkable: pregnancy and infant loss. The campaign we worked on aimed to make this tough reality raw, real, and relatable. No sugar-coating. No clichés. Just honest storytelling that helped men see themselves in the conversation.

Huge congratulations to Surfrider Foundation Manly / Surfrider Foundation Northern Beaches for winning Community Group of the Year at the NBC Australia Day Awards for Adopt a Beach.

95 clean-ups.
1,300 volunteers.
Over a tonne of waste removed.
Tens of thousands of items recorded and analysed.

That’s commitment. That’s community.

We loved working on Adopt a Beach because it gives people a way to act, not just worry. It turns a bucket and a morning on the sand into something bigger. Data. Evidence. Conversations with Council. Change at the source.

This is the kind of work we care about.
Creative that supports action.
Community that shows up.

FAMILY, FRIENDS & FEASTING

Long before gratitude journaling became TikTokable, people paused to give thanks. This week, we at Studio Oi are doing the same. With so much happening in the world, taking even a micro-moment to notice what matters feels more important than ever.

To our brilliant US-based team and the clients we’re lucky to partner with, we wish you a Thanksgiving filled with warmth, connection and a spread so generous it requires strategic planning and stretchy pants. We’re grateful every day for the meaningful work we get to create together.

While it’s hard to understand how war is still seen as a solution, we stand in gratitude and remembrance. You are not forgotten. Our hearts are with all who have felt the impact of conflict, and with those who continue to hope - and work - for peace.

Studio Oi + Surfrider Foundation Manly : creativity meets coastal care 🌊

Our studio sits steps from Avalon Beach, where daily surfs and swims sharpen ideas (and leave wetsuits dripping by the desk). Partnering with Surfrider Foundation on Adopt a Beach was more than another project; it was a responsibility close to home (and heart).

Nine beaches. Nine challenges. Nine partner groups are stepping up to keep their stretch of coast litter-free. From cigarette butts to dumped waste, each beach needed its own voice to solve its unique litter-laced problem.

As Karen, our copywriter, puts it: “We built buckets of copy, cheeky for teens, harder-hitting for some beaches, softer for families. The anchor was always community activism and change.”

We’re stoked to work alongside Surfrider on a campaign steeped in coastal care. 💙
