Led by her desire to have a career as an artist, Susan Jones moved from Virginia to Atlanta, where she received her Associate in Arts degree from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Upon graduation she remained in Georgia and began working and training with a local art conservator, where she learned the art of oil painting conservation. In 1991 Susan and her husband opened Master Framing and Conservatio
n Studio, offering oil painting and period frame restoration to clients, both locally and nationally, for over 25 years. Susan Hogue graduated from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA, in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and English Literature. She worked as a designer with O'Karma-Jones Gallery in Atlanta for two years, leaving that position to begin her apprenticeship in art conservation with Susan Jones in 1998. She serves as Objects Conservator for Master Framing and Conservation Studio. Together, Susan Jones and Susan Hogue have over 30 years of experience, specializing in oil painting conservation, period frame restoration, gilding, and art object restoration.
