Founded in Atlanta in 2014, GraySpaceWorks offers consulting services focusing on Special Projects Management, Volunteer Management, Grant Support, Event Planning and Patient Advocacy with a focus on the non-profit sector. GraySpaceWorks is led by 17+ year veteran in the non-profit industry and Atlanta native, Carol Gray. From large to small non-profits Carol understands the unique challenges and

opportunities of both, and has served in many roles including leadership positions in national non-profit organizations - United Way and Habitat for Humanity. With United Way of Greater Atlanta, Carol served as Area Director for Fulton County and managed relationships with over 100 non-profit grantee organizations and over 120 volunteers with a strong track record of volunteer engagement. She was also recognized as Employee Volunteer of the Year. As Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity for Glynn County, Carol successfully completed the Blitz Build of four houses in five days and raised in excess of $125k. Prior to her employment at Habitat for Humanity, Carol was an avid Habitat volunteer and had been awarded Volunteer of the Year. Carol most recently was Executive Director of the Ferst Foundation for Childhood Literacy leading all aspects of their project to increase number of children served within the Metro Atlanta area, management of Atlanta office, resource development and branding. Prior to the Ferst Foundation Carol was Vice President of Resource Development for the Atlanta Police Foundation where she managed their $7 million, three-year campaign as well as special events – specifically their five annual fundraising events, including increasing attendance by 5% at the organization’s largest fundraising event – The Policeman’s Ball. Patient advocacy is a new passion of Carol’s in dealing with her parents’ eldercare needs and her own health journey. In 2012 she pursued this passion and joined a wellness management company, Community Health Network as Marketing Manager and Account Executive. In this role she was responsible for client account management (including employee health screenings to meet HIPPA requirements), marketing and special events. Outside of the non-profit sector, Carol spent five years working in Retail Marketing at The Coca-Cola Company – and was privileged to work as part of their Atlanta Olympic Games team in 1996. While spending her days helping non-profits reach their goals, Carols spends many of her nights and weekends volunteering for a wide range of organizations. She has served on the board of directors for the Midtown Atlanta Rotary Club and as Board Chair of Fulton County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). She’s served as a Professional Mentor with Step Ahead, and as a Youth Mentor for I Have A Dream – AD Williams chapter dedicating herself to helping an at-risk student make it from 2nd grade through high-school. She also volunteers for Senior Citizen Services, Mostly Mutts, Warrick Dunn Foundation, and Mentor a Way Home.

Just finished the latest Georgia Laws of Life video.

What is your Law of Life? That's what young people ponder when they participate in the Laws of Life Essay Contest. There is no right answer or quick response. In order to succeed in this activity, contest participants reflect and write from the heart.
