“No, I don’t have any lead magnets on my website…is that important?”

Lead magnets are basically a free resource or deal that you’re giving to your website visitors in hopes that they’ll leave their email addresses.

I ALWAYS recommend to my clients that they (1) have mailing lists (normally new clients do not) and (2) they give something in order to persuade individuals to sign up for those mailing lists. These sign ups turn into potential sales leads anytime you send out a mailing list email to promote your new product, service or sale.

So what makes a good lead magnet?

1️⃣ Give something useful. Keep in mind your audience. What would they consider valuable?

2️⃣ A Straight forward Call-to-Action. Tell them what you want them to do. Let them know the best action to take next and how they can learn more about your products or services. Also be sure to let them know how to remain in contact with you should they have questions.

Yes, forming an LLC offers your business some protection, with asset protection being at the top of that list, but forming your LLC does not mean that someone else will not end up using your branding or have a similar business name.

When you register a trademark, you can legally protect your business name and/or branding from theft and misuse by others. Your exclusive rights to your intellectual property are more easily enforced and more effective in preventing others from making money off of your business and branding.
