As a communications professional, 1) proofreading is imperative and spelling errors are virtually inexcusable, tight deadlines be damned. 2) autocorrect can be a driverless car and not your friend. The "Public" in Public Relations" can go very wrong if the L is omitted. Today in a client email, Gmail autocorrected "if you'd like to tweak this story," to "if you'd like to twerk ..." Interpretive dance? Yes, I caught it immediately.
