We have been in this staring contest for three hours now. The mailers are winning. They have nowhere to be. They are not stressed. They feel nothing. Meanwhile I am refreshing my Etsy app every 11 minutes willing a notification to appear. 😭

Do I have a dedicated home office? No.

Do I have a desk, a proper chair, a ring light, and a professional setup? Also no. 😂

What I DO have is an extremely sophisticated system for tracking natural light movement throughout my entire home at every hour of the day and right now — RIGHT now — the bathroom floor is producing the most gorgeous soft diffused golden window light I have ever seen in my life. 🌟

The product looks incredible. The photos are immaculate. My knees hurt a little. Completely worth it. 📸✨

This is my office. I have a coffee on the toilet lid and a do not disturb sign on the door and I have never felt more professionally accomplished in my entire life. 😌

Okay there is one. There has always been one. You know the one. The listing that just works — the photos came out perfect on the first try, the title wrote itself, the description flowed like poetry, and every time someone favorites it you feel personally validated as a human being. 🌟

The other listings are wonderful. Truly. They are loved and appreciated and we wish them all the success in the world.

Someone asked to see my camera roll recently and I had to think very carefully before handing over my phone. 📱😂

Here is an accurate breakdown of what they would have found:

90% — Product photos. Forty seven versions of the same flat lay from slightly different angles because the light was almost perfect but not quite. 📸

9% — Accidental selfies taken while setting up the shot. A chin. A startled forehead. Two wide panicked eyes the exact moment I realized the camera had flipped. An ear. None of them my best work. All of them timestamped between product shots like little chaotic surprises. 😭

1% — Evidence that I have an actual life outside of my shop. One sunset. A blurry photo of food I meant to post somewhere. My cat doing something I almost captured. 🌅

No regrets. The product photos are gorgeous and that is what matters.

The accidental selfies will never see daylight. We don't discuss them. 🤐✨
