What an AMAZING night for the Bull Rides at the fair! Thank you to ALL of our customers who enable us to spend the week giving our time to support the fair and continue the tradition of the last FREE fair in Iowa!

Also a big thanks to Wild Wayne’s Fireworks for letting us borrow an extra cash register for the FFA food stand and Brocker, Karns & Karns for a temporary repair part they had we desperately needed. It takes a lot of tech and WiFi to pull this off every year some of it quickly.

Fun fact… just before the bull rides over 2000 devices were connected to the WiFi. Thank You again for supporting the kids of Cass county!

The Cass County Fair has officially begun! The Atlantic Locker provides the 4H Foodstand and the FFA Foodstand with several different products. Let meals be easy this week. Swing by for breakfast, lunch or supper and see the sights!

Getting reports of “Fake Emails” this morning here is a cool video to help you sleuth these out when you get them. It’s not that someone was “hacked” just someone is pretending to be someone they are not. I know a 12 minute video is probably not what you want to watch so this link puts you to the important part. https://youtu.be/0m8jFT03q6Q?t=112&is=4w2oiFY8qcJLK8tm

BIG CONGRATS to our good friend TOM ROBINSON on winning Iowa Broadcaster Of The Year! We LOVE working with Tom he always wants to learn the new tech and we do our best to make it as easy as we can so his broadcasts go off without a hitch. Tom is everywhere all the time and even when you can't hear him on the radio he is getting ready for whatever from Sports to News or checking the weather before everyone else. Tom Robinson, YOU ROCK.

12:30... should have posted a while ago. Everyone who has power has service. Thank you AMU, Cass co Emergency Management, Cass co Communications, REC for everything today! Ok ok... I'll even thank you to Mid American... is the Griswold/Lewis curse broken?

8:30 Thank you everyone for your patience this morning.

We only have 2 outages impacting about 2 dozen customers.

One is far west Cass County. There is a tower without power and the battery has run out. We would run a generator out there however we know none of the houses without a generator have power either so we are going to wait for the power to be restored unless it lasts more than another hour.

The other is south of Atlantic (south of Kipp's house) where REC is currently onsite repairing the power line. They are saying about a hour.

At this point if you have power and neither of those apply to you and you do not have service let us know.

6:49 Obviously a lot of power outages in and around Atlantic right now. All of our critical infrastructure is up, we do have a tower off west of town, running out there now to see what is going on. Seeing the cell networks a little overloaded due to everyone being on them. Lots of trees shredded and limbs down. Give those power crews some room and patience this morning!

Good morning everyone!
If you are not awake yet you will be in a few minutes.

Key weather/internet/utility tips no matter who your provider is:
If you have no power there is no WiFi.
If your power blinks it may take a couple minutes for your router to come back online.
No need to call your provider unless your Internet has been out for over a hour and there has been no update as to why.

Stay safe and weather aware out there!
