*This position will be mostly remote, but candidates must be based in Maine, within the counties mentioned below.
Inclusion Maine is seeking a youth candidate (16-24 yrs) based in southern Maine (York, Cumberland, Sagadahoc, Waldo, Knox, or Lincoln Counties) for an event planner position. The candidate is required to be authorized to work in the U.S. and facing a barrier to employment, such as physical disability, learning disability, combination of ELL and low income, and many other barriers to employment that exist. This is a temporary position for 12 weeks.
This is a developmental opportunity for a youth candidate to develop skills around event planning, communication, and research & design. We are seeking a candidate interested in learning and developing professional skills.
The Event Planner will work closely with our team and partners to design & execute our upcoming Inclusion Maine Conference, focusing on rural workforce inclusion and ensure an engaging experience for attendees.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited conference design, coordination with speakers & moderators, tracking progress, managing details around ex*****on, and completing post conference items. This position may perform additional tasks as assigned.
