People often ask: “why do I need to get a backflow inspection?” Well, here is a photo of the years of sediment buildup in this check valve, causing its normal operation to fail.
These devices are an important part of the water distribution system to maintain safe drinking water.
A backflow assembly will prevent contaminated water getting back into the public water supply during a pressure drop or water line break in the street.
After replacing the 1st & 2nd check in this assembly the water was back on to serve the 75 residents in under an hour.
