🎉 Congratulations to Dan Spencer on his promotion to Market Leader!

Milestone Funeral Partners is proud to announce the promotion of Dan Spencer to Market Leader for our New Hampshire market.

In this role, Dan will provide leadership and support to the teams at Baker-Gagne Funeral Homes, Mayhew Funeral Homes, Holt-Woodbury Funeral Homes, Cheshire Family Funeral Home, Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, Smart Memorial Home, R.M. Edgerly & Son Funeral Home, and Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home.

A lifelong resident of Rochester, New Hampshire, Dan is a graduate of Spaulding High School and began his career in funeral service in 1996. After graduating from Fine Mortuary College, he built a career dedicated to serving families and communities with compassion and professionalism. Dan describes funeral service as both a challenging and deeply rewarding calling.

Dan brings nearly 30 years of funeral service experience, strong local roots, and a deep understanding of the profession to his new leadership role. We look forward to the positive impact he will continue to make as he supports our New Hampshire funeral homes and the dedicated professionals who serve within them.

Outside of funeral service, Dan enjoys singing in an acoustic duo and camping with his wife.

More than a century of service and a legacy built on caring for others.
Milestone Funeral Partners is proud to welcome Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home of Middletown, New York, to the Milestone family.

The funeral home’s history stretches back to 1899, when it began serving families in the Middletown area as the Rockafellow Burial Company. Over the generations, the firm evolved from the Burnett Funeral Home to the Applebee Funeral Home and, under the leadership of R. Barry and Mary McPhillips, became the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home families know today.

In 1982, the funeral home opened at its present Highland Avenue location, the former Davidge Estate. Following Barry McPhillips’ passing in 1998, Mary and the funeral home staff carried forward his vision for the property, completing and dedicating the R. Barry McPhillips Memorial Chapel.

Through more than 125 years of change and growth, one thing has remained constant: a commitment to serving families with compassion, dignity and personal care. That commitment is reflected in the Applebee-McPhillips motto: “Serving others as we would be served.”

We are honored that Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home has entrusted Milestone with the stewardship of a legacy that has meant so much to generations of Middletown-area families.

Last week, Camp Leadership brought Milestone Funeral Partners’ funeral home, cemetery and crematory leaders together in Sidney, Maine, for an experience unlike anything else in our industry, and the energy was incredible.

We believe that when you invest in great people, empower them to lead, and give them opportunities to grow, incredible things happen.

So, we don’t do leadership development the traditional way.

No hotel conference rooms. No sitting through hours of presentations. No vendors talking at you. No slide decks telling you how you’re supposed to lead.

We get out there and DO IT. 💪🌲

At Camp Leadership, our professionals learned by experiencing. They collaborated. They problem-solved. They stepped outside their comfort zones. They strengthened relationships, challenged themselves, shared ideas, laughed…a lot…and discovered just how much is possible when talented people are given the opportunity to grow together.

Four generations. More than 85 years of service. One remarkable legacy in Jamestown.

Milestone Funeral Partners is proud to welcome Lind Funeral Home of Jamestown, New York, to our growing family.

The Lind story began in 1941, when Bernhard F. Lind began welcoming families into his South Main Street home and assisting people of all faiths and backgrounds through some of life’s most difficult moments. After 18 years, he moved his family home to West Third Street, where that commitment to compassionate funeral service continued to grow.

Bernhard’s sons, Rod, Bob and Skip, proudly carried the family business forward, followed by third-generation family members Terry, Robin, Cindy and Gary. Along the way, generations of dedicated employees became part of what Lind affectionately describes as a quilt of “like-family” individuals who have helped shape the funeral home throughout the decades.

Today, Lind Funeral Home remains a third- and fourth-generation family-operated funeral home, carrying forward a tradition deeply woven into the Jamestown community.

We’re especially proud to welcome Cynthia, Gary, Kirstie, Mark, Brian, Macey, and the entire team of professionals at Lind Funeral Home to Milestone. We are honored that they have entrusted Milestone with the stewardship of a firm, reputation and legacy built with such care over generations.
