Once again I have to share disappointing news in our industry. We have worked with AffordAVet Clinic in Kent for about 5 years. I was informed today by phone that they are switching services. While every clinic has the right to choose who they use for cremation, it leaves me dumbfounded that the corporate heads go against what the local staff know and believe is best for the clients locally. When I asked the local manager why they were switching, I was informed by their regional manager that it was for the benefit of their clients and myself since they have not been able to keep their account current for over the last year. They have currently not even paid us for over 3 months. Yet they demand you the clients pay them upfront or they cannot treat your pet. Go figure. The vet industry is changing and moving in a corporate direction more and more. This is not something that will ever be beneficial to you as the pet owner. I share this because there needs to be more awareness and transparency of what is going on out there.
(I have attached email correspondence below to clarify what I am stating)
DO NOT always assume that your vet has your pets best care in mind when choosing cremation. In fact, there are many staff from clinics that bring their pets to our facility directly because they do not like or trust to use the facility their clinic is forced to use.

I want to be sure that people are aware that the Blue Pearl Renton facility will not allow us to pick up your pet from their facility. This is a direct email from the manager at Blue Pearl. Please share this info and know that this is a spiteful decision made by Blue Pearl which does not hurt my company but truly hurts clients who are already going through one of the hardest days in their lives.
