Then heading out with a friend to a new (to me) spot where the service is supposed to be slow as molasses, but there's live music and baby alligators - so if you have to wait "23 minutes for your food" (as seen in a review), always bring good convo and you won't notice the time!

Do you have a "bad-assery" album??

We hear so much about "reinventing" ourselves - but what if we didn't really need to "reinvent" - we just need to EXPAND?

Like a house - yes, you can gut the whole thing and then put in the latest, trendiest, just-like-every-other-house interior; OR you can keep the good stuff and continue to improve the things that need an uplift. Build it out - add on...expand.

Today I was clearing out my graphics program, so I can make room for new designs, etc. I came across my travels (I've had some pretty cool adventures!!) and my former real estate listings.

Each photo brought back the lessons, the triumphs, the challenges - and after going through about 1000 photos - I thought - I'm kinda a bad-ass! (And I mean that in the most humble way 🤣🤣)

But it reminded me - I don't need to re-invent myself at this point in my life. I'm actually a pretty good thing.

At this point, I need to take inventory of the things that make my heart happy - the places where I look and say "kid - you nailed it!!" and expand on those.

Let's lose the word re-invent. Let's EXPAND our life instead.

Ok...I'm opening up my camera equipment today for the first time since returning from Ecuador. Those photos have given me quite the inspiration this morning.

(And if you don't have a "bad-assery" album - create one!! Put your "cool kid" moments together for those days when you get those mean blues and you just don't like the day.)

Stay true to your vision. It's hard work that pays off.

I've found there are three types of people in this world. ..those who have been handed everything without working for it, those who wish they could be handed everything. ..and those who either realize it's not going to be (or...they don't want it to be) handed to them...so they WORK for it.

Unless you're in group #1...wishing without work will leave you gaining nothing.

I'm working today on the 4th...so I can live the life I dream of FAR before most people get to retire.

What IS your life's work?? I will always believe that the work I put into my kids and grandkids is my GREATEST work...but what about that inner goal you just haven't done yet?

I lived with believing I could do more...be more...achieve more. And when I set out on my journey through scuba, I didn't envision the path I'm on now. And that's ok. Sometimes life will offer and open paths when you're not expecting them.
