We were honored today at the APA-IN Spring Conference by accepting an Honorable Mention Award for Outstanding Comprehensive Plan for Kendallville Plan. We were so lucky to partner with the City of Kendallville Indiana and Jones Petrie Rafinski to develop a vision and goals for this wonderful community!

We're set up at the Community Learning Center in Kendallville for the Holiday Market. We're here to promote Kendallville Plan, the community's new comprehensive plan!

And of course we brought our own village 😉 What community development organization wouldn't?

We've been so grateful to work with this wonderful community and team to help create a beautiful vision for Defiance! Can't wait to see these projects come to fruition.

In case you haven’t seen them, we’d like to share the 3D renderings that were created as part of the Master Plan! Pictured below is Gateway Park, looking toward the south bank of the Maumee River.

Key features that can be seen in this illustration include an accessible kayak launch and rental, a permanent farmer's market space that can be used as an event shelter house, and a walkway under the Clinton Street Bridge – just to name a few!

Thanks, Historic Downtown Kendallville! It was our first ever Fairy, Gnome, and Troll Festival, and we loved it!! Hometown Initiatives and Jones Petrie Rafinski enjoyed chatting with residents and visitors about all things Kendallville!

Maybe we should change our name to Gnometown Initiatives?! 😂

Did you see the news last night? Our friends at City of Kendallville Indiana made the news for Kendallville Plan!

City officials starting working on the comprehensive plan about a year ago and hopes to have the plan finished in roughly one year.
