"There are three essentials to leadership: Humility, Clarity, and Courage."--Fuchan Yuan
True Leaders never turn a blind eye & deaf ear to concerns or input. True Leaders never bellow those employees who pushback on their decisions are just wallowing in drama. True Leaders take time to understand the employee’s “why” never seeing it as the employee trying to cast blame. True Leaders never make knee-jerk decisions off what’s heard or perceived, never taking a deep dive to find the truth. True Leaders seek evidence from all angles before laying down their law. True Leaders provide clear communication for understanding of their “why” for the actions they take. True Leaders never put off needed discussions for later, then later never comes. True Leaders realize their poor decisions, never too proud to swallow their pride, put the ego aside, stepping up to right their wrongs. These Leaders do not inspire employees to go above and beyond, doing whatever it takes to deliver results. These Leaders fail at mentoring & supporting their employees to reach goals, then dock performance for not achieving goals. These type of Leaders need to self reflect how they truly operate day-to-day before judging employees. These Leaders do not care that their decisions affect far more than just the employee, it affects the livelihood & wellbeing of their family. The #1 attribute to a true Leader is Humility. If they have to google the definition of Humility to see what it truly means, that’s a declaration that “Leader” is not a true Leader as they don’t know the core values to the #1 attribute to be one. So surely they won’t have the next two most important attributes. These “Leaders” need to take a long trip in self adjustment to realign themselves from money and title motivation to the simple values that really exemplify the authentic character of a true Leader.
