Lately, so many of the families in front of my camera have been celebrating first birthdays, and every one of them feels special.

A year ago, these little ones were tiny newborns in their parents' arms. Now they're full of personality, curiosity, and bringing so much joy to everyone around them. Getting to document these chapters as they unfold is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

There's something so special about documenting a friendship that's grown up alongside you.

Kelscie and Weslyn have been best friends since they were little girls, and this summer they made the trip to Charleston to celebrate one of the biggest seasons of their lives, senior year.

We spent the afternoon wandering through historic streets, chasing the best light, and capturing the kind of moments that can't be posed. The laughter and effortless connection that only come from years of friendship made this session feel so genuine.

As they step into their final year of high school, these photos are a reminder of where they've been, who they've grown up with, and the memories they'll carry long after graduation.

Charleston was the perfect backdrop, but their friendship was the real highlight of the day. ✨
