82 years ago today, the tide of World War II turned on the beaches of Normandy.
Operation Overlord
— the largest seaborne invasion in history — required extraordinary planning, leadership, and above all, the unimaginable courage of the men who waded ashore under fire. More than 4,400 Allied troops lost their lives on June 6, 1944 alone. Tens of thousands more were wounded.
As professionals, we talk about resilience, teamwork, and purpose-driven leadership. The men of D-Day embodied all of that — and paid for it with everything they had.
Today we are reminded that the freedoms that make our work, our ambitions, and our daily lives possible were not free. They were earned.
Honor them. Remember them. Never forget what they gave.
