Yesterday it was a little rough. Bella doesn’t like English much. Doesn’t like writing. She gravitates more towards math.
She started crying hard. I never know what to do when it comes to being her teacher. But I knew what to do as a mother.
I held her and rocked her and told her stories of how it was for me to learn at her age. I remember crying over my math.
We had a nice discussion on how things can be hard sometimes. I told her to just let it go for the day and we will try again tomorrow.
So today I asked her how I can help. She asked me to help spell out the big words for her so she can just hear the letters and write them. Instead of looking at the word.
Now I understood what her problem was. She didn’t know the big word. So when she wrote the letters she would get lost in the sentence and lose her place.
It just got jumbled on the page. I would be frustrated too.
