IN MEMORY OF CORWIN K. NOBLE
May 4, 1959 – September 15, 2013
Today, Corporate Crime Control Protective Services remembers Corwin K. Noble, a respected security professional, law enforcement officer, SWAT member, EMT, mentor, and friend who dedicated much of his life to protecting others.
I had the privilege of working side by side with Corwin on numerous assignments, including some dangerous situations where trust in the person beside you meant everything. No matter what we encountered, I always knew Corwin had my back. More importantly, he was a remarkable mentor who taught me lessons about this profession, leadership, loyalty, and looking out for the people you work alongside.
As I continue this work today, I hope I can pass some of those lessons along and mentor the next generation of Protectors the way Corwin mentored me.
One of the most important lessons is simple: No assignment is routine. Stay alert, trust your training, watch your surroundings, take care of your team, and never become complacent.
Courage isn't about taking unnecessary risks. Professionalism means recognizing danger, making sound decisions, watching each other's backs, and doing everything possible to make sure everyone goes home safely at the end of the shift.
Corwin's influence continues every time those lessons are passed from one professional to another.
Stay vigilant. Watch each other's backs. Get home safe.
Rest easy, Corwin. We have the watch.
