Congratulations to ASI’s 2025 Officer of the Year, Ian Lindeman!
Ian has consistently demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, dedication, and commitment to excellence while serving with Advantage Security. Before entering the security industry 5.5 years ago, he worked as a liquor delivery driver, in a steel factory, and in Denver’s Criminal Court. Ian is happily married to his wife Cindy of 8 years.

In 2025, Ian earned Officer of the Month while working as a floater, learning nearly every ASI site and stepping in whenever needed to keep operations running smoothly. His leadership, reliability, and strong performance made such an impression that a property team later requested him for a supervisor role. Both ASI leadership and our customers recognize Ian as someone who consistently ensures things run smoothly and who is a true asset to the company.

Congratulations to Derek Cardona, ASI Officer of the Month for December 2025. Derek has been recognized for his hard work, dedication, and loyalty to his site and to ASI.
Derek was born in Denver, Colorado, and spent his early years moving around the state before settling in Englewood, which he considers home. He attended Englewood Elementary, Middle, and High School.
Before entering the security field, Derek spent nine years working in epoxy flooring and construction. He has now been in security for four years as of October.
Derek is a full-time father of two children—a 13-year-old son and a 3-year-old daughter. He met his fiancée three years ago, and they have been engaged for four months. They plan to be married in April 2026.
In his free time, Derek enjoys jiu-jitsu, boxing, and basketball. His ideal Saturday night is catching up with his fiancée. He’s a Denver Nuggets fan, enjoys watching Cops, and never turns down hot wings.
Laura Richards, Property Manager at Block 162, said, “You can count on Derek to go the extra mile—and he makes working together easy and enjoyable.”
