A garden like this is never truly finished.
Naturalistic planting is meant to evolve, soften, and shift over time. While we aim to create gardens that look full and beautiful from the start, the best gardens usually come from continued edits, added layers, and follow up planting over the years.
So for now, we’re putting it out into the universe that one day we’ll get to come back, add a few more plantings, and fully finish the feeling of this garden. 🌿

Leaves aren’t a mess… they are part of the cycle.
If you can leave them, leave them.
If you can’t mulch them and return them to the beds.
When leaves break down, they feed the soil with organic matter, improve structure, hold moisture, and support the entire underground ecosystem.
This is how soil regenerates.
This is how landscapes become self-sustaining.
Most modern landscaping removes everything… then tries to replace it with fertilizers.
Nature already has a system we just have to work with it.
