Coca-Cola just rolled out a new global brand identity, and it’s a masterclass in what disciplined branding looks like at scale.
Led by JKR, the refresh doesn’t reinvent Coca-Cola. It sharpens it. The iconic ribbon, first introduced in 1969, now plays an even bigger role across packaging, signage, and digital touchpoints, tying together a system that spans over 200 markets.
That’s the real story here. Consistency across that many markets and touchpoints isn’t a design challenge, it’s an operations challenge. Coca-Cola paired the visual refresh with a new Brand Center and a design intelligence tool, giving internal teams and agency partners a shared system to work from.
For a brand that moves over 2.2 billion servings a day, that kind of infrastructure is what makes “iconic” sustainable instead of just nostalgic.
At Walden Media Group, we think about brand the same way: not as a logo, but as a system that has to hold together across every experience a customer has with it. Big congrats to the JKR team and everyone behind this rollout.
