ENFJs are all about helping others achieve their dreams. They focus on achieving their own dreams as well, constantly trying to learn and grow, but they fulfill a higher purpose by helping others achieve. Almost like an intuitive x-ray vision, ENFJs are able to “see” the potential in others. They get a feeling, a sense, about people and can see them for who they are and the unique qualities they have. Even more, they seem to intuitively know what others need. They are extremely creative, providing new perspectives and angles that people haven’t ever considered. They have a contagious enthusiasm and love using humor to engage with others. ENFJs are warm, empathetic, and supportive individuals who genuinely care about other people and their successes. This makes them the best type of mentors.

What is your current work culture like? What about your ideal work culture?

Ben Horowitz is a tech entrepreneur and co-founder of the venture capital firm Adreessen Horowitz. He kept hearing how important work culture was, but when he asked people what culture was and how to improve it at work, no one had an answer. So he set out to find answers by studying historical and modern day examples and then wrote a book about it to help others struggling with the same thing: “What you do is who you are”. Highly recommend this book if you’re trying to change or improve your work culture. Or if you’re curious to get other perspectives on what worked or didn’t work for others!

ISFJs tend to be workaholics. They care a lot about the people in their lives and support them by making sure everything is taken care of. They want to feel needed. They have a strong sense of duty and feel obligated to work long hours to make sure all of their work is done - and done well. ISFJs are extremely detail-oriented and take the time to be very thorough in their work. This can cause them to be slower to complete tasks and projects than some of the more efficient or less detail-oriented personality types. Be patient, give them their space, and you can count on them to consistently and reliably produce excellent results. ISFJs take commitments seriously - they are people of their word - and if they said they would do something, they will do it. This can cause them to become overcommitted, and they get stressed when the work backs up. ISFJs are calm, friendly, unassuming, and work quietly in the background. ISFJs are not self-promoters, so it can be easy for their work to go unnoticed. They will continue to work hard without any recognition but they do appreciate personal one-on-one recognition for their hard work.

Find yourself a co-worker that hypes you up, even better if it’s an INFJ! INFJs are all about improving themselves and others. They have this seemingly x-ray vision and are able to see into people’s souls and see their potential. Unlike some of the other personality types, when INFJs help people, they do it from a positive angle. INFJs are optimistic and idealistic and see the good in everyone. By observing and listening to others, they are able to understand what motivates each person. INFJs want to have depth in their relationships with others, including their boss and peers. Don’t expect them to be satisfied with engaging in small talk and then shutting off their laptop for the rest of the night. It’s almost important that INFJs have authentic and honest relationships with others. Since they’re so good at reading people, don’t try to manipulate or lie to an INFJ - they will see right through you and you’ll be put on their blacklist. Even though they’re private and mysterious, INFJs care a lot about people and supporting them in a positive way. Be sure to reciprocate the affirmation and let your INFJs know that you are grateful for them and the advice that they give.

ESTJs when they dont replay a convo with co-workers over and over 7457 times
ESTJs are a take-charge and control type and have this attitude about work and their relationships at work. It is important to them to know where they stand at all times with their co-workers and boss. They tend to see the world in black and white and not as much in shades of gray. This makes them uncomfortable when situations, conversations, or relationships are unclear. And even though they tend to show how they feel and how much they care through their actions, they rely on words and recognition from others to know where they stand.

ESTJs are also focused on preserving the group. They care a lot about cooperation and agreement in pursuit of maintaining organizational goals. Being liked and accepted by the group is important to them. They really do care a lot about people, especially the people who are just as loyal to the organization as they are. They can also be insecure about how they feel about themselves and their self-worth. This can lead them down a path of self-doubt, questioning how others feel about them.

Did you know that most people get their personality type wrong? A lot of the personality tests out there are either inaccurate or have biases built in that leave people answering the questions of who they want to be, not who they are.

Accuracy is so important because everything just clicks into place and you can clearly see all of your strengths, weaknesses, values, communication style, behaviors, tendencies, triggers, blind spots, intentions, superpowers, insecurities. It’s a roadmap to improving and being a better version of yourself. We’ve helped hundreds of people determine their personality type, their real type, and coached them through promotions, work conflicts, misunderstandings, toxic bosses, annoying coworkers, and dream jobs.

The first step to figuring out your personality type is to start from the broader categories and work your way in. Are you more affiliative or pragmatic? Affiliative roles are all about the community, the greater good. Pragmatic roles are all about individuals doing what needs to be done to accomplish the goal. Which one are you?

It’s so easy to stay in our comfort zones. It’s what we know and we know what to expect. Even if we’re not totally happy or satisfied. It’s easier to stay where we are than to venture out into the world, into the unknown, and put ourselves out there. There’s risk that comes with change and being vulnerable. But there’s also risk with staying where we are. There’s risk of becoming stagnant and stuck in a cycle where we’re not learning or growing or developing anymore. There’s no challenge, we’ve just accepted our circumstances.

There are so many smart and talented people who are working good jobs. But their mind and natural abilities go unnoticed by their boss, their co-workers, their corporate job. They may not even be aware of what they’re good at because it comes so naturally to them - they just do it on auto-pilot. We’re here to help those smart people working good jobs, who are looking for something more. We believe you’re capable of more and want to help you discover your strengths and remove barriers holding you back from being your best self. We tailor all of our advice and conversations to your specific personality type and your specific set of strengths. Everyone is different and cookie-cutter programs and advice doesn’t work for most people.

Tips for INTJs to thrive at work:

1. Ask others for feedback

You have high standards. You’re critical, private, confident. This can make you seem aloof and intimidating to others. People are less likely to approach you and give you unprompted feedback or lend a helping hand if it looks like you need one. Feedback from others, especially from those you work with directly or are on your team, is critical to your success. Your ability to see into the future, devise a brilliant plan, and execute it is unmatched. But you need people to help you bring everything to fruition. Make sure your team feels heard and you’re constantly improving yourself and your people skills. This is how you get better.

2. Seek out reality checks

While you’re a Jack-of-all-trades and master-of-all type, there are things that are not realistic to achieve. Or maybe it’s possible, but the amount of time and effort required to achieve success isn’t worth it. Because you’re goal-oriented and have a high need to achieve, it can be especially crushing to figure out that something you’ve been diligently working toward is impossible. There are a handful of types who are especially good at giving reality checks. Look for these sensing types to help ground your visions so you can continue achieving.

3. Fight emotion with emotion

Emotion and logic mix like oil and water. If someone approaches you from a place of feelings and emotions - Logic can’t help you here. Address the emotions first. Once you uncover that, you can move back to your calm and logical comfort zone. You’ll notice your conversations will go a lot more smoothly and everyone will walk away feeling good.

4. Treat people like human beings

Your personality type is rare - other types think differently, have different expectations, different value systems. People tend to reciprocate, so if you make them feel heard and included, then they’ll do the same for you. People will listen to you more. It will be easier to recruit people to implement your ideas - they’ll be more loyal and respect you more for it too.
