This week’s key developments:
🔴 Ebola — DRC: Outbreak continues to expand, with 5,794 confirmed cases and 2,786 deaths reported by WHO.
🔴 Measles — U.S.: 2,903 confirmed cases across 47 jurisdictions, surpassing the full-year 2025 total.
🟠 Polio: International spread remains a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC).
🟠 Mpox: Community transmission continues in Guinea-Bissau, while WHO updated its global risk assessment.
🟡 COVID-19: Activity is increasing in the U.S., although overall respiratory illness remains low.
🟡 H5N1: Continued circulation in animals; CDC reports no unusual human influenza signal.
🟢 Uganda Ebola: Outbreak officially ended after 42 days without a new confirmed case.
