Been staying off social media so I don’t lose my mind, but as I approach 3 years of business I wanted to say thanks and let folks know that the shop is going through an overhaul including multiple new shelves and floor layout and better personal organization and communication practices. Thank you everyone for the patience, positive reviews, return business, and kindness. If you are awaiting an update from me, rest assured it is coming once clutter has been reduced.

I’m unbelievably lucky to be doing this work and doing it from my home. Oooh also, shirts are officially sold out so harass me if you think I should make more. Thanks 🫡

A month late posting this, but:
Thank you all for 2 years of business during which I’ve taken in over 1000 units. Thank you to the support of and everyone else who has passed along kind words. Thank you to my great and patient partner Joan who has tolerated gear spilling out into our living room as I adapt to the higher workflow. I am very lucky to get to do this work in Austin and I feel the appreciation back from the city so again, thank you!

for the second time since opening, *someone* has attempted to get my business shut down!
-
first time, just a month or two after opening someone claiming to be a concerned neighbor (I know all my neighbors) directly reached out to my landlord to try and tattle on me, claiming I had swarms of people going in and out all day and was blasting music nonstop. I explained it was appointment only, three or four clients a day max, and that I ran equipment at room level only, and she was completely on board with what I was doing.

today, a “concerned citizen” called 311 to report me and sent a permit officer to scope out my house and make sure everything I was doing was above board.

I obviously can’t know that these were done by the same person, but I unfortunately do have some justifiable suspicions. I would like to keep doing this specific work in this specific town despite not being able to afford paying rent on a shop space and a place to live.

Hello!

We are officially on the map as a fueling station for Bike To Work Day on 5/19!! From 7a-until we run out, we will have tacos, cold brew, water, juice, and some tools to help with minor mechanical issues and high fives. Hello! I will be out of town Nov 30 - Dec 15 going on tour playing music, which is what I did prior to getting into stereo repair. I believe I’m caught up with customers and have taken all the steps to shut down for two weeks, but feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. My partner Abe will be available to help customers with pick-ups and I will be responsive to emails and phone calls when able. - Henry
