This monumental English oak sideboard, late 19th to early 20th century, carries three carved back panels depicting scenes from Lord Byron's Gothic poem "Lara," each with its stanza inscribed alongside the carving, after the 1879 engravings by Charles Bell Birch. And it doesn't stop there: allegorical maidens flank the outer cabinets, busts of British prime ministers stand between the doors, and a carved Green Man forms the pull on the center drawer.

At nearly eight feet wide and over seven feet tall, it's the kind of piece that anchors a room and rewards a second, third, and fourth look. This one you'll want to see in person before you bid!

Fifty years on the Italian Riviera, hanging in the same villa, is a rare thing to find intact.

Every glass flower was shaped by hand while the piece was still hot, which is why no two blooms on it match, and why no two chandeliers like it exist anywhere else!
