Happy new year everyone. We have been blessed to take a week off from the workload after Christmas and are now catching up. This past week we have started on 4 new projects for developers and the wireless work is still so important, not just to us but to everyone. Capacity issues for the big three carriers is still strained. Thanks to everyone for a very strong 2021 and we look forward to a very busy 2022.

Hi everyone. During these tough times we are continuing to work safely at the office without visitors. We have been in direct contact with all the major cities in Texas while they have figured out how to accept all documents and submit projects for approvals. Some have adjusted very well but others are still figuring things out. Projects have gained approvals and permits have been issued in the past few weeks. Most cities have postponed March and April hearings but are now transitioning to team or zoom public hearings for zoning and variance approvals in April and May. You may not be aware of the telecom industry challenges during this pandemic, but our carrier sources tell us that the network is strained to extraordinary limits. They have all borrowed broadband from Dish and others that were not currently being used in order to keep up with the customer demand for Telmed meetings, FaceTime and data transfers. What this means to us is that new sites are more important that ever. We have our first zoom hearing on Monday with Irving Texas. It will be different.
Our development projects in process are still moving forward, although not as fast as we would like. If you have a upcoming project we are available all week to discuss. In the meantime hope everyone is safe.
Hopefully things will get back to normal although I believe some things will never be the same.

Universal City, Texas is northwest of San Antonio and is adjacent to an air force base, making restrictions on new cell towers very challenging. Last night, the City Council of Universal City approved their first Conditional Use Permit for a new tower to provide better cellular coverage to its customers. Many thanks go out to Universal City staff, who worked so closely with us throughout this entire project.
