While home in LA, our family friend told me he saw my Tío in the documentary, . We lost Michael in 1992 in the AIDS epidemic, and although I was only six, I have deep emotional memories of my best friend. 🌈

Watching this film was such a gift. I'm so grateful to know more about his work with GLLU and the work they accomplished. My family were farm workers and marched with Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers. To learn about how GLLU was an agent to unite the activism for and so many other movements is truly inspiring.

I can't fully express the gratitude and excitement, but I feel closer to my Tío and the work he committed his life to. 🤟🏽💘
