Day two of this whole saying yes to things experiment and I got something in the mail that I want to give away to someone.

Because said during her book launch that if you give business books away, you give more than just the business book. You give someone a chance to do something amazing with their business.

So here I go.

First you need to comment on this post.

This can be a comment about what I’m doing to say yes to things you can give me something else that I can consider saying yes to.

Or you can say why you want the book.

If you are in Austin or San Antonio or someplace, I can easily drive to within about an hour hour and a half I’ll drive it to you and we can have lunch if you are an entrepreneur like me. If you comment and follow, your username will be put into a randomizer, and I will screen record who wins tomorrow.

The winner will be drawn at random, and I will set up the random drawing tomorrow and say yes to reaching out to that person.

It’ll be tomorrow evening so we have like 24 hours to do this.

I said yes to one last-minute invitation… and Day 1 of this experiment already gave me a story I could never have planned.

For the next 30 days, I’m challenging my automatic “no” and saying yes to the things that spark joy, move me forward, or simply make me curious.

Let’s just say: THIS was not on my bingo card.

More and more of these things are popping up for me. Mine is when people ask me how I’m doing and they actually don’t want to know how I’m doing or have a conversation about it. Apparently when I share how I’m doing or what’s going on in my life it’s called info bombing and I’m not supposed to do it lol….

So this is all the fault of and

They are doing this thing where they are looking for a Head of Yes to travel with them for 6 months and say yes to things.

So then I thought. What if I took this as a personal challenge?

What if people I know (and don’t know) suggested I do things and I HAD to do one?

What would happen?

Soooo…. I did it for the first time today.

And I will do it tomorrow and the next and the next…. for at least the next 30 days, maybe more if I get addicted.

So, what should I do?

All posts are invitations for suggestions, connections, dares….

Because why not?

Let’s say yes and see what happens!

Virgin and Richard Branson could choose an adventure ju**ie, or someone who is high on adrenaline to be their next Head of Yes.

Or they could choose someone who has made their entire message in life about creatively getting past no especially when that no comes from yourself.

This is possibly the craziest thing I have ever done, but I will sign a document that says I will do anything Virgin tells me to do with a caveat that it’s something that Richard Branson himself also has to do. 😜

This is the show the world that you can be a virgin at something and still say yes to new experience.

I am neurodivergent with combined type ADHD and high functioning autism, I’m also gay, and I would love it if my fiancé could show up on a couple of trips.

I’ve spent so long working myself into saying yes, and the clips are just a few examples of saying YES when other parts of me said no be more responsible.

Yet I said yes and had the best time of my life. I think that the best head of yes, for virgin is one who isn’t entirely versed at saying But someone who has not only had to get past now, but trains people how to be innovative and get past no when it’s not based around consent. (Totally different, full stop no…)

So Virgin, there’s a lot I’m a virgin at at the ripe young age of 50 and this is my midlife awakening (screw the crisis).

This is where I say yes.

Choose me and let’s make some great content together.

And yes, by the amateur Edits version of my application, I am no influencer or expert in social media.

Studying for a certification or working through a learning program? Build this into your study plan: Don’t just review the material. Teach it.

After each module, close your notes and explain the concept as if you were teaching a classmate, client, or coworker. Record a quick voice note, teach a study partner, or talk through it on camera. Or better, teach it for real to someone else.

Why? In controlled experiments, learners who prepared to teach a lesson and then actually taught it showed stronger comprehension one week later than learners who studied normally.

Use this before your next exam, quiz, or certification checkpoint. The concepts you cannot explain clearly are the exact concepts you need to revisit when you hit the books again.

I had to get pretty bloody in the realm of entrepreneur education before I realized that every expert isn’t giving you what you need to actually move forward.

And there are experts who lean in pretty hard on self accountability without taking accountability themselves for who they Vet and let into their programs who are actually ready to work with them.

I think the first time I was impressed by one of my mentors Jen Gottlieb 🎤 Keynote Speaker we were in a free challenge and someone came up who was an entrepreneur who was really suffering, and she told them if you are not cash flow positive and you are not in the space where you are directly working on this come back to me later and consume all the free content that I have please.

That is integrity.

Integrity is not high-pressure sales or feeling worse walking out of a sales call for an entrepreneurship education program then you felt when you walked in.

That feeling is everything.

And I have to say I have used that barometer to Vet every single person, program, and software I recommend. Because, I’ve had a ton of expensive trial and error.

I had all the best intentions of starting early and using the full day to complete a project. I have to have it done by Tuesday. But this is what happened. It’s not like I have control over it. I call this PROCRASTITASKING. Where I just come up with task after task while I’m trying to get my brain to behave so that I can do something I’m supposed to be doing and is actually really urgently due. I am convinced this is the reason I have to be an entrepreneur. Because if you give me a deadline, I will hit it, but in the process, I might just redesign your organization. Employers don’t take too kindly to that lol…
