American Diabetes Association Guidelines for 2017 have been published. Reference S58-S59, guidelines have shifted in a positive way in the management of obesity for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Bariatric surgery is now being referred to as metabolic surgery in the new guidelines. See attached.
