The Hastings family has a long history of engagement in the Austin community. Ann Hastings, who founded what is now Hastings Humans, was very active in the Chamber of Commerce, serving as the second woman on the board of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, she was the first woman officer in the Austin Aqua Festival, one of the first woman to serve as an officer in her church, then First Southern Presbyterian, now Central Presbyterian, where she served as an elder for many years. Her husband, who joined the business full time once it started growing, Clint was a long time and every active member of Kiwanis and served as an elder at what is now Central Presbyterian Church.
Mark, their oldest son and president of Hastings Humans, has also been a long time elder at Central Presbyterian Church Austin, and is an active member of the Austin Founders Lions Club, and was recently installed as President for the 2nd time.
Scott Hastings is an active member of the Austin Symphonic Band, the office community band of Austin.
Being a part of the greater Austin community is important to the Hastings Humans. This company was founded here in 1948 by Ann Hastings, as a way to have an income as Clint attended UT on the GI Bill. Hastings Humans is still headquartered in Austin and owned by Mark and Scott Hastings.
They live here, and they give of their time and talent here. They care about our community, and about doing the very best job for their clients possible, which shows in the 29 consecutive Awards of Excellence.
