Today we're celebrating Gill Camps as he marks five years with JMJ.

One of the ways we strengthen relationships at JMJ is by taking the time to acknowledge the difference people make. As Camille Ford, Principal Consultant, shares:

"Gill, thank you for the enthusiasm and curiosity you bring to your work every day. One of the things I've always appreciated is your willingness to keep learning, ask thoughtful questions and stay open to different perspectives. Those qualities make a real difference to the people you work with and reflect the kind of approach we value at JMJ.

I especially appreciate the way Gill stepped in and took the lead in a challenging client environment, coordinating a number of different stakeholders and helping them understand why coming together as a leadership team would make a difference for the hundreds of people on the job site who deserved to go home safely each day. His leadership helped the client balance safety alongside cost and schedule considerations. For me personally, it reinforced my confidence that Gill can step into any IIFNextGen environment and create real value and meaningful impact.

Thank you for everything you've contributed over the past five years. I'm looking forward to seeing the difference you'll continue to make."

Gill, thank you for the difference you've made to JMJ, our clients and your colleagues over the past five years.

Supporting wellbeing through conflict and uncertainty.

Many people across the Middle East are dealing with the unexpected conflict and ongoing uncertainty. For many, this is impacting how they are feeling, their ability to focus and their energy levels.

We're sharing a practical resource developed by Dr Emma Hepburn, together with JMJ's Sandy Schreiber, which offers simple guidance to support mental health and manage stress during times like this.

Key points to remember:
• Individual responses to current events will differ - there is no right or wrong way
• Connection and small check-ins matter
• Prioritizing self-care helps calm the nervous system

We hope this offers something useful for you or your team.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of 13 lives following the recent incident at the Barzan facility in Ras Laffan Industrial City.

Our hearts go out to the families, friends, and colleagues of those who lost their lives, and we wish a full recovery to those who were injured.

We extend our sincere condolences to everyone across QatarEnergy, QatarEnergy LNG, and the wider Ras Laffan community who have been impacted by this tragedy.

In moments like these, we are reminded that safety is ultimately about people and the loved ones who wait for them at home.

We stand with the individuals, families, and communities affected as they navigate this difficult time and honour the memory of those who have been lost.

When you’re procuring safety or performance support, efficiency is often the priority.

The process needs to be fair, defensible, commercially sound, and fast enough to keep pace.

But even well-run procurement processes can reward what’s easiest to specify, such as training volume, deliverables, or price, rather than the capabilities that drive meaningful operational change. That’s where outcomes can start to fall short.

We’ve broken these ideas down in a practical Buyer’s Guide for procurement, EHS, operational, and executive leaders working in complex environments.

What successful recovery programs have in common

The goal may be clear: restore production safely and quickly.

What we've observed is that successful recovery programs aren't defined by how quickly activity starts.

They're defined by how effectively momentum is sustained.

The organizations that recover most successfully aren't always the ones that start fastest. They're usually the ones that create the conditions to sustain momentum.

Our latest executive brief explores what successful recovery programs have in common and why project recovery requires a different approach than planned capital projects.
