Due to a series of unfortunate events, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the final Cruzadito. 💔

While this isn’t how we envisioned closing this chapter, I’m incredibly excited to pass the baton to Drew & Sophie as they continue building and growing the Tango community.

If you were hoping for a way to still celebrate, connect, and say goodbye, I’ll be attending their event, the Mini Midwest Marathon, happening the same weekend in Cleveland (link to tickets in bio).

Juan & Pato will also be there, and we’re so excited to have them helping bridge this transition and bring the magic forward.

I truly hope to see you there. 💛✨️🎵

✨ SAVE THE DATE ✨

Today marks the 8 year anniversary of Guardia Vieja and we thought we would start with a nod to our beginnings. This image by the incredible Photographer Nikos Zacharakis was the the first one we used as we launched our brand identity and we wanted to circle back to it, as we ask you to join us as we celebrate 8 years of Guardia Vieja and the community that made it possible. 💛

Our final farewell event will be Cruzadito | Tango x Cleveland, taking place from June 18-21, 2026. Cruzadito is a celebration of Tango in its many forms: music, dance, film, and social connection. This multi-day celebration will stretch across Cleveland’s East Side, West Side, and everywhere in between.

This event also marks a bittersweet moment: a farewell to Guardia Vieja. While we say goodbye, we do so with deep gratitude, celebrating the roots of tango in Buenos Aires and the close friends and partners in Cleveland who will continue to build, carry, and evolve these traditions forward.

Above all, we want this final Guardia Vieja event to be mostly sweet. And that sweetness comes from you: your presence, your embraces, your dancing, your shared memories. Please save the date, start planning your trip, and stay tuned for more details to come. We can’t wait to gather and create one more time!
