Good day! ☀️

I feel it might be helpful to share a little information about Todd and me.

We are a small, husband-and-wife-owned business, and every customized casket we create begins when the call is received.

Sometimes a family knows exactly the type of design they would like, and other times they need a little help bringing their loved one’s story to life. This is where Todd’s graphic design degree plays one of the most important roles in our business. He works closely with families to create the perfect design for each life celebration.

From day one, we have always felt like we know the person we’re designing the casket for. As families share stories, photographs, hobbies, passions, careers, military service, faith, and the things that made their loved one special, we begin to see the person behind the design.

I pray that feeling never disappears. It reminds us that we are not simply creating a product—we are helping tell a story and honor a life that was deeply loved.

It is truly a privilege to serve families during such an important time, and we are grateful for the trust they place in us.

We had the opportunity to create this beautiful casket for a sweet family in Texas. It’s always such an honor when families trust us to assist with the life celebration of their loved one.

She always kept a linen closet full.
Pressed sheets. Floral pillowcases. The kind you save “for company.” The grandkids were so familiar with the offerings, they knew exactly which sheet to use.

When she died in her little cottage tucked into the woods of Washington, her family opened that closet and chose the soft yellow set she loved most. The ones that had been folded for years, waiting.

We turned those sheets into her shroud. After her passing, we kept her body at home, where she belonged.

For two days, her family held a home vigil. They brushed her hair. They read stories. They cried in waves and then laughed in waves. The wood stove cracked in the background. Outside, the trees stood quiet and steady.

When it was time, the local funeral home came gently and respectfully. She was transported for a witness cremation.
Her family followed behind the funeral home minivan that held their precious cargo.

They didn’t go home. They stayed in the parking lot for four hours. Sat in folding chairs. Shared coffee. Told stories. Waited together until we could release her remains back into their hands.

Because love doesn’t end at the threshold of a building. Love waits. It stays. It sees things through. And that cottage in the woods will always hold her last breath.

This is what choice looks like.
This is what care can look like.
