The bride's very wise grandmother sent a message to the newlyweds that I think we could all use- bring as much joy as you can to the people you love and it will give great purpose to life. Even interacting with them for a short time made it pretty clear that Joanna & Ryan are killing it in that department.

Expected- make your couple stand on the dock and shoot towards the sunset/lake. Unexpected- run down the dock and shoot towards the parking lot! But the best things in life are unexpected, right? I think Jessie & Mike would agree since finding each other and falling in love was a beautiful surprise when they least expected it!

And we're dancing in the mine fields, we're sailing in the storm. This is harder than we dreamed, but I believe that's what the promise is for. // I can hardly think of better first dance lyrics for these two who don't just approach storms with courage and grace, but enough joy to dance in the midst of them, quite literally.
