My family has avoided asking me this for three years. At this point they have collectively decided I could be the town bridge troll, selling potions to bring lost loves back to life, or hawking some very entrepreneurial feet pics.

But no my friends. Your girl does magic of a different kind.

I do front end and back end magic and before you go there, I mean TECH👀

I pull the brand that’s been living in your head out and make it real. I build websites that feel like sweet ecstasy and nothing like a generic template or AI slop. I have never in my adult life made a decision that was just for me.
Every single move I have made, every city, every job, every sacrifice, every thing I built or stayed in or walked away from, has been made with one person at the center of it. My kid. And I would do every single bit of it again without blinking.
But my kid just got accepted to their dream school on a full ride. Scholarship. Grants. The whole thing. Completely taken care of. Out of state. Exactly where they wanted to go.
And a door opened at exactly the same moment. The kind of door that doesn’t knock twice.
So I said yes. To a city I have driven through exactly once. To a house I have never been inside. To living alone for the first time in my entire adult life. To 42 days between the decision and the moving truck.
My mom said my life was like a car on cinder blocks. She called back that same night worried she had hurt my feelings.
She hadn’t. She was right.

I use ChatGPT every single day at Slight Look, it’s actually just one of my *favorite* AI tools.

However, just because AI can do something, doesn’t mean it should or that it can do it well. And it is something I take intense pride in is taking my clients’ VISION to CREATION

So baby girl...

I cannot believe I am posting this but here we are.
For two years I called myself something I wasn’t. Not on purpose. Not to mislead anyone. Just because I loved the title and apparently my ego had opinions.
Then 4am intervened. As she does.
Not the cute 4am. Not the journaling by candlelight, main character energy 4am. The one that grabs you out of your sleep like something from The Conjuring and forces you to sit with the truth you’ve been avoiding.
And the truth was this — nobody ever hired me to coach them. Not once.
They hired me to build their website and then stayed because they needed me to run the whole backend. They hired me to write copy that actually converted. They signed me to create strategic roadmaps so thorough that they didn’t want me to leave when I was done. I stepped into a nonprofit in full crisis mode and rebuilt it from the ground up. I moved across the country for this work.
That is not coaching. That is building. And I had been calling it the wrong thing for two years because I liked the identity of the word and my brain let me get away with it — until it didn’t.
I am a builder. A strategist. The person you call when something needs to actually get constructed, not just talked about. That is what Slight Look has always been. I just needed a 4am intervention to finally say it out loud.
