SoberSingles™ Update – 14 Years Strong
Hello everyone,
We are proud to share that SoberSingles™ has been active and serving our community for over 14 years, originally beginning through Facebook, Instagram, and in-person social gatherings. What started as a small effort to connect sober individuals online and in real life has grown into a lasting community—and now it’s time to bring it all together in one unified platform.
We are now rebuilding and strengthening SoberSingles™ to create a more connected, safer, and more intentional space where everything—our online presence, social events, and community support—can live under one roof.
We want to thank you for your continued support over the years. This community has grown, evolved, and stayed strong through every stage, and we truly appreciate everyone who has been part of that journey.
SoberSingles™ began in 2012, right after I came out of rehab for the first time. When I got out, I honestly didn’t know what to do with myself. I knew one thing for certain—I couldn’t go back to the bars, the same places, or the same patterns that had led me there in the first place.
So I did what a lot of people in early recovery do: I started searching. I looked online, I looked everywhere, trying to find something—anything—that could help me connect with other sober people, especially in a dating or social sense.
And there was nothing.
That gap, that silence, is what eventually led to the idea that became SoberSingles™.
What started as a personal need for connection slowly turned into a mission: to create a safe, honest space where sober people could meet, support each other, and build real relationships without alcohol or drugs in the picture.
Over the years, that small idea has grown into a meaningful community, with many lasting connections formed along the way—through Facebook, Instagram, and real-world social gatherings.
We are now bringing everything together into one unified platform to better serve our community and continue building responsibly and with purpose.
As part of strengthening the foundation of SoberSingles™, we have also taken the necessary legal steps to fully secure and protect our intellectual property, including the SoberSingles™ trademark, along with our core digital properties:
