The past year highlighted the importance of showing up for one another. As we move into a new one, I’d love to pause and reflect on the community, creativity, and care that shaped 2025 for us.

A few moments that defined the year:

✨ Connecting with thousands of visitors through Open Studios, the Austin Studio Tour, and artisan markets — sparking meaningful conversations about material renewal, craft, and circular design.

♻ Renewing overlooked materials into something cherished, as hundreds of pieces found new homes — each one given new life and their stories carried forward by someone who believes in this work.

🤝 Continuing collaborations rooted in shared values, including our co-branded products with .

🛋 Being entrusted with extraordinary materials, as premium furniture makers and interior designers reached out with beautiful resources they didn’t want to see go to waste.

🪡 Growing alongside our partners at , finding new ways to scale production and gather around the work — needle, thread, and all — through a mending workshop in our studio.

Thank you for being on this journey with me. I’m endlessly grateful for your support, encouragement, and belief in this work — it truly fuels what we do and inspires what’s next.

1️⃣ OPEN CANOPY 🎨 this Saturday 6/7 (1pm-4pm), when we and dozens of other artists at the Canopy will open up our studios to the public! Check out new creations of pillows and accessories, all handcrafted, made with 75-100% upcycled premium materials, and one-of-a-kind or part of a small batch.

With art, music, shopping at Canopy’s storefronts, pop-ups, and , enjoy a fun afternoon there with friends and family! ☀️

2️⃣ MENDING WORKSHOP🧵on Saturday 6/14 (10am-12pm) in our Canopy studio! Learn basic and decorative stitches to repair your favorite items, taught by the talented women of one of our favorite partners !

◼️◻️Austin artists, teachers, students, and anyone interested in FREE quality materials to use — come to the annual ZERO LANDFILL event tomorrow, Friday April 18th! 📌

There will be lots of architectural, interior design, and building material samples (tiles, vinyl, wood, glass, laminates, fabric and more) donated from IIDA member firms in Austin, available to anyone for FREE. See following photo/video for a small glimpse of previous years’ materials!

We are super excited to be partnering with and for this event, supporting reuse in the Austin area. Find us at the table and the crafts table for kids to unleash their creativity with these materials!
