Join me for the SEASON 4 FINALE of The Dr. Denise Simpson Podcast.

In this season finale, I introduce the fifth and final point of the Anchor Method: Transformational Impact.

This anchor asks us to consider not only what we accomplish as leaders, but who our people become because we were entrusted to lead them.

Finally, we explore the complete Descend → Anchor → Ascend cycle, why your relationship with yourself shapes your relationship with your team, and how a sacred pause can help you respond thoughtfully instead of reacting from overwhelm.

I can’t believe I just discovered this painting called The Great Wave off Kanagawa by the great Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai in 1831.

(SERIOUSLY where have I been 🤦🏻‍♀️)

I’m obsessed now because the essence represents what I teach through my Anchor method for leaders who refuse to sacrifice their souls for their jobs.

You see the wave in this portrait is not the problem.

The problem is believing you must control it.

🌊 Leadership will bring waves…emotional waves,
organizational waves,
waves of uncertainty,
change, conflict, and chaos.

You cannot stop them from coming.

But you can learn how to meet them differently.

This is the work I do with leaders.

Not teaching them how to calm the sea, but how to become anchored ⚓️ within themselves when the sea refuses to be calm.

Because the most powerful leader in the storm is not the one fighting the waves.

It is the one who knows where to anchor.

⏬ Descend from the chaos.
⚓️ Anchor to what is true.
⏫ Ascend back to your team.

Want to learn how I do this IRL and how my clients and leadership students use this method to navigate emotional overwhelm and physical burnout?

Comment the word ANCHOR so I can send the link to my free LIVE workshop on 8/4!

There are so many lies you’ve been told about how to lead your people.

Lies that have seeped into the unconsciousness of our society and organizational culture.

Lies that I’m up against every time I work with organizations and their executive teams.

Lie 1️⃣
You have to lead with an iron fist or else they won’t respect you.

Lie 2️⃣
Don’t dare show any emotions at work because they’ll think you’re weak.

Lie 3️⃣
Save kindness for your family. Your employees aren’t worthy of it.

Lie 4️⃣
You must have all the answers or you’ll look stupid.

Lie 5️⃣
You must always appear confident because your replacement is waiting to take your job.

These are just a few of the MANY lies perpetuated by underdeveloped, emotionally depleted leaders trained by toxic, antiquated leaders who were programmed to survive in dangerous leadership models.

🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Share in the comments the lies you’ve been told about leadership and share this with those who deserve to know the truth.

Dear Leader,

In challenging times, what truly lies within our power?

While external circumstances and industry shifts are beyond our direct control, our perspective is not.

This is where true strength lies.

It's the choice between a reactive tantrum and a proactive display of resilience, grit, and capability.

How we show up is a powerful decision we make every moment.

Bet on yourself; choose your reaction.
