The Investigation wines at Crimecon! Our Trainer of field and development Shelley Whitmarsh-Beal went to crimecon this weekend and met the founder John Matthews!
John Matthews is the only award-winning winemaker in the world to have captured a serial killer. A former Chief of Police with over four decades of law enforcement experience, John serves as a network news analyst and is the author of seven books.
Through True Crime & Wine, he blends his love for law enforcement and passion for wine by bringing true-crime fans and wine lovers together at his in-person shows and on his True Crime & Wine podcast.
As you know, we are launching our new brand wines in June!
We’re Proud to Support the DNA Doe Project:
With every bottle of The Investigation, $1 is donated to the DNA Doe Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to restoring the identities of Jane and John Does via investigative genetic genealogy. In addition, donations can be made directly on your website for $1, $5, or $20. Help restore identities and bring long-awaited answers to communities searching for closure.
Since its founding in 2017, the DNA Doe Project has worked on more than 250 cases of unidentified remains using investigative genetic genealogy. Contributions help provide critical resources for cases that need them most, giving detectives and medical examiners the support they need to seek identification assistance.
If you want more info or interested in joining the wine club, let me know. I am an episode 2 of “ Naming the Dead “on Disney+ or Hulu. Watch to learn more about the types of cases that the DNA Doe Project assists with. Please visit their website to see open cases.
