fibercove is a locally owned and operated coworking and meeting space in the South Lamar district of Austin. The mission of fibercove is to provide a space that combines extreme bandwidth, a full service café/bar, and acoustically appropriate work areas.
At fibercove, community comes first. We pride ourselves in providing a comfortable space and encourage networking – and friendship – amongst members. We frequently host events, such as happy hours and after-work game nights. We also have Lunch & Learns, stream virtual conferences, and provide educational resources to our members and guests.

THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Community Manager, you’ll be responsible for helping the coworking space run smoothly. This is a part-time job that’ll support our General Manager in day-to-day activities that directly support our members and guests! This role will also be pertinent in supporting event planning and support our members and guests’ needs within the space.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone who is friendly and excited to learn about the in’s and out’s of running an office space. You’ll be able to multitask, be both proactive and reactive in supporting the needs of our members and guests, and be able to help with desk work, such as answering phones and providing resources to everyone that walks in the door.
YOU ALSO NEED TO BE
- A good communicator, used to dealing with customers – ideally in the hospitality or events industry or a student seeking to gain experience.
- Comfortable with answering phones and taking messages if need be
- Happy taking ownership of problems and flexible in finding solutions
- Positive, enthusiastic and able to adapt to fast-changing situations
- Confident using Google Drive, Apple TV, and willing to learn other technology tools around the office
- Are local to Austin, Texas and at least 18 years old
WHAT WE OFFER
- A starting salary of $15, but open to increase based on performance
- Flexible hours - we would ideally like someone here 20-25 hours per week
