Texas isn’t a state that’s known for lots of public land. However, when Texas does do the public land thing, it does it pretty darn well. At over 800,000 acres is pretty awesome and we’re glad it’s in our home state. Santa Elena Canyon, carved through the rock by the Rio Grande, is one of the most fantastic places in the park and one of our favorites.
