“Keep Climbing”
Meet Ryan “Patch” Hickey tomorrow night at the Nature Abstract Flow. The resilience and strength come through his artwork.
Here’s his story:

Ryan was a sketch artist in his teen years.
After a near-fatal car accident in his 20s, Ryan suffered a traumatic brain injury, impacting his eyesight and physical strength.
Along with his unbreakable faith in God, Patch recovered through physical and emotional therapy, allowing him to honor the Creator by painting Creation.

Read about the artist and her message:
My name is Dana Wilcher, and I am an oil painter and visionary storyteller based in Austin, TX.

I was raised in a log cabin in the Eastern Sierras without electricity until I was 10, which shaped a deep sensitivity and connection to the natural and spiritual worlds.

I began training as an artist under my mother and grandmother as a child, working across many mediums from a young age.

In 2015, my childhood home burned down in a wildfire, which catalyzed a deep journey of healing from childhood trauma and walking through the fires of spiritual initiation. My artwork mirrors my healing journey.

Crafted in a ceremonial container of reverent prayer, my oil paintings merge higher dimensions with present reality, aiming to awaken viewers through visual storytelling, emotional resonance, and poignant imagery.
