On Sunday several of our members and apparatus attended the annual Southern Maryland Firemens Association Antique Apparatus Muster. Water Supply 5 was utilized for drafting to supply many of the apparatus there able to flow water. There were many pieces of apparatus from all over the state at the muster. Thanks to the Association for putting on this event each year.

BOAT TOOK ON WATER AND IT OVERTURNED, TWO PEOPLE ARE ON THE OVERTURNED BOAT. LAUNCHED FROM LONGVIEW COMMUNITY PIER

Another boat is out with the boat getting the people out of the water. Both were brought onto Boat 5 and taken to Bushwood Wharf Landing. A598 evaluated one patient and obtained a refusal. The overturned Boat was also taken to Bushwood Wharf.

The assignment was held with Boat 5, Engine 52, A598 and Boat 1006. Maryland Natural Resources Police remained on scene to continue the investigation.

Earlier today, Boat 5 responded to Piney Point in Company 6's first due for a large vessel fire. Units arrived on scene with a 210' vessel with the crew reporting a fire in the engine room. Boat 5 with a crew of 5 arrived and reported below deck of the vessel to assist with extinguishment and ventilation. Boat 5 operated for approximately an hour before returning to quarters.

Congrats to Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department on winning the first annual St. Mary's County Fire Department Softball League Tournament. They defeated Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department in the Championship. We want to thank Andersons Bar for allowing us use of the field over the last 8 weeks. We also want to thank Chesapeake Trophy for making the Championship Trophy. Thanks for everyone for coming out and watching the games! It was a great season.
