This is great news for licensees such as private investigators, security officers, etc!

Governor Newsom has just released an Executive Order that includes relief for licensees of the Department of Consumer Affairs including the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.

The Department informs us that:

Licensing renewal fees are deferred for a year for DCA licensees with licenses expiring January 1 – June 30, 2025 if their work or home is in the impacted zip codes:

90041, 90049, 90265, 90272, 90290, 90402, 91001, 91024, 91103, 91104, 91107, 91367, or 93536

Fees are waived for DCA licensees who need to request a duplicate / replacement license due to it being destroyed in the fires.
