Some serious allegations have been made against security at Bakersfield High School surrounded by a post made by the students mother alleging school security restrained student on the ground in 105 degree weather causing her to receive 2nd degree burns.

It was also alleged student struck security. Although it is my opinion, Security should not be expected to stand there and be assaulted. But, at the same time, once someone is under control, only reasonable force should used. It has been known that Kern High School District receive very little to no training, making it difficult to deal with high contact situations. Thought? Does School Security need better training? Could hiring outside services be something in the future?

As seen on Kern county activities 👀 a recent shooting has many people asking whether schools need metal detectors at high school football games.

But is adding more equipment really the answer? or do we need to take a harder look at staffing, crowd control and how campus security and school police is actually being deployed once everyone gets inside?

Metal detectors may be part of the solution, but not a part of a security plan. Thoughts? 🤔💭

For a department that has long distanced itself from the private security industry and done little to understand what we do, how is it now expected to provide “security services?”

In California, every licensed security officer is taught through BSIS that private security and law enforcement have different roles. We’re not peace officers. Our mission is to observe, report, protect private property, deter crime, and understand the limits of our authority. Thoughts? 🤔 💭

As seen on Yet another security failure at the Marketplace!! One guard on his phone with a water bottle in hand,the other just standing there, while multiple people are fighting

Because of the hesitation, more people jump in… and it escalates.

This is a place families bring their kids… and THIS is the response?

You cannot call this a safe environment if the security is a warm body collecting a check while people get hurt.

One teenager has died and multiple fights have happened all under the watch of Allied Universal! I’m calling on the market place to remove this security company from this establishment and place a more suitable security company in place before we lose another life due to the inaction of this security presence.
