I started my first outsourced IT company in California over 20 years ago. We first started offering remote support in 2004, which was absolutely revolutionary for us. However, after about a week of using the new remote access tools, I couldn’t sleep after it dawned on me, “If I can remotely access my client’s systems and data, what is stopping others from doing it too?”

That was a ”Holy Crap” moment for me and I have frequently told my clients over the years, “the reason you sleep so well at night is because you don’t know what I know.”

Frankly, I’m a bit relieved that the rest of society is finally starting to acknowledge how inherently vulnerable our systems are without proper cybersecurity protections in place. As technology advances, the need for security is becoming more challenging and necessary.
