Meet John & Sharon — the roots of our family story!

Our story goes back more than 50 years, and it's one built on faith, family, hard work, and dedication.

1971–1975: John proudly served in the United States Air Force as a member of the Military Police.

❤️ 1973: John and Sharon began their journey together as husband and wife, building a life centered around faith, love, and family.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family: Together, they raised three children — Aaron, Joseph, and Jessica — instilling the importance of family, hard work, and standing by one another.

🐜 1975: John began his career in the pest control industry, working alongside his brother-in-law, Troy Tenhet. Little did he know that pest control would become such a big part of his family's story for generations to come.

🙏 God, Family & Military: These have always held a special place in John's heart and have helped shape the man, husband, father, and businessman he is today.

❤️ Today: One of the most meaningful parts of this chapter is that John gets to have all three of his children involved in the family business.

What started as a career back in 1975 has become a family legacy more than 50 years in the making.

For us, Stop Pests Pest Control is more than just a business. It's family, history, and a legacy we're proud to carry forward.❤️

John & Sharon's first grandson completed 10 years of dedicated service in the United States Navy! ⚓

Although his time in the Navy came to an end last year, the pride we have in his service and sacrifice will last a lifetime.

From one generation to the next, our family's tradition of serving our country is something we hold close to our hearts.

Yesterday, our son, and John and Sharon’s grandson, left to begin his journey with the United States Air Force. ✈️

Some of you may have had the pleasure of meeting him while he worked with us at Stop Pests for a few short months before leaving. We loved having him as part of our team, even if it was only for a short time.

As a veteran-owned and family-owned business, military service has always held a special place in our family. But watching your own child say goodbye and leave to serve his country brings a whole new meaning to pride, sacrifice, and service.

We are incredibly proud of the young man he has become and can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes him.
