​We want to give a massive, heartfelt shout-out to the leadership and team at the Buena Vista Museum of Natural History & Science! After identifying past internal issues and areas where they needed to do better, they didn't just sweep it under the rug — they took active initiative to invest in deep, meaningful change for their entire team.

​This week, staff, managers, and members of the Board of Directors completed a comprehensive 2SLGBTQIA+ Cultural Competency Training custom-tailored specifically for their organization! 🏛️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

​What makes this step even more impactful? They kept it local. Rather than bringing in out-of-town consultants, the museum made a conscious choice to hire local q***r leadership — partnering directly with Pride Year-Round to facilitate the training.

​From exploring the intersection of gender identity, history, and biology to establishing clear standards of accountability across leadership and governance, this work ensures the museum is a safer, more inclusive, and truly affirming space for both its internal team and every visitor who walks through the doors.

Stop renting your power. Own the grid.💪🏼

Most grassroots movements are built on passion, but passion without Infrastructure has a shelf life. When we rely on "rental" spaces—administratively, legally, and physically—our impact is only as secure as our next lease.

At Pride Year-Round, we are moving beyond temporary "Organizing" and into permanent Stewardship. We don't just mobilize the block; we map the Civic Plumbing to ensure the community holds the Master Keys.

To achieve a 7-generation build, we must institutionalize our influence into Sovereign Assets. This means:

1) Technical Power: Transitioning from "filling out forms" to "owning the frameworks."

2) Administrative Knowledge: Hardening the back-office systems that protect our leaders.

3) Physical Assets: Turning community momentum into permanent land and property ownership.

The Build: We are currently conducting Structural Audits for regional organizations ready to move from movement-building to Estate-Building.
